1. No personal attacks
Any personal attacks will be removed. Depending on the severity of the attack, you may be removed from the group.
2. Respect for other members
If you say something or act in any way that is disrespectful to other group members, your content will be removed. Depending on the severity of the attack, you may be removed from the group.
Bullying of any kind isn’t allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, or sexual orientation will not be tolerated.
3. Wives, Girlfriends, Kids
These are off the table. No disparaging remarks or sexual remarks can be directed at any wives, children, or girlfriends of anybody in the group. Any infraction may be subject to an immediate ban.
4. Respect everyone’s privacy
Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What’s shared in the group should stay in the group. Screen captures and sharing it with other people may cause you to be removed from the group.
5. No Politics
No federal-level political posts are allowed.
No pointless politically motivated posts or degrading comments about things such as race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.
6. Membership is a Privilege, not a Right
Just because you played affiliate pro baseball, does not mean you have a “right” to be in, or stay in, the group. Membership is a privilege.
If you don’t follow the rules, you are a source of constant issues in the group, or your presence generates multiple complaints or issues… you may be removed without warning.
7. Commercial Posts
To post commercially, you must first email info@steamworks.io with the info about your business. We may ask you questions about your business. Then, if approved by a majority of moderators and the admin, you must make a $100 donation (annually) to BAT and send us the receipt.
Then after that, you may make posts selling your goods or services as an “official vendor”.
8. Group Management Responsibility
Facebook terms of service prevail. By your participation in the group, you understand and agree that admins and moderators are not responsible for anything that is said or happens — inside, or outside, of this group.
9. Membership requirements
Members must have played at least one inning or one at-bat in MLB/MiLB affiliated baseball.
Non-affiliated players are considered on a case by case basis.
All member requests must fill out the member request form satisfactorily.
10. How we will handle behavior that breaks rules
In general, it will be a “three strikes and you’re out” model. Any comment or post breaking the rules is a strike. At our discretion, we may go straight to the punchout for particularly bad behavior.
